  • Taiwan Beer with Fruit Flavor Chapter 2

I am back to Taipei and I found two new beers with fruit flavor! Precisely, lime beer and grape beer.

    Taiwan Beer Lime Flavor

I tried the lime flavor. It is sweet with both lime and bitter taste! Anyway, I think I still prefer the ordinary lager or pale ale!

  • Fresh Bottled Draft Beer from Taiwan Beer – “Only 18 Days”

Besides beers from the tap, I have not observed any fresh bottled beers selling in supermarkets or restaurants before until I discovered this Taiwan Beer ‘Only 18 Days’ in Taipei.

The beer taste good and refreshing because this beer is fresh from the brewery without sterilization. As a result, this bottled beer only good for 18 days as printed on the bottles.

The beer is distributed from brewery to outlets entirely below 8 degrees Celsius. More importantly, it is the freshest bottled beer in Taiwan or maybe in South East Asia.

This beer is certainly a great companion when tasting the delicious 台灣熱炒美食. Amazingly, each 600ml bottle Taipei Beer ‘Only 18 Days’ only selling less than NT$65. Man, this is heaven!

Have you ever taste any beer with mango flavour? And yes, I found this in Taipei.

Taiwan Beer now come with Pineapple and Mango flavour. Basically, it tastes like combination of mango juice plus beer. Most importantly, alcohol beverages in Taiwan are affordable, so is heaven here to me!

The Caffe Gino is owned by Kiyohisa Fugino, who is a Japanese master roaster. You can find this cafe at Isetan Food Market, Suria KLCC, Kuala Lumpur.

  • Macau Pork Chop Burger at Tai Lei Loi Kei Cafe, Taipa, Macau

Recently, I have travelled to Macau – the Asia’s casino capital for 3 days 2 nights company annual getaway trip. In short, I conclude the most famous and more convincing casinos in Macau are – Grand Lisboa Casino, MGM, City of Dreams and The Venetian.

Before the trip, I was recommended to try out the famous local style Pork Chop Burger at Tai Lei Loi Kei Cafe near The Venetian at Taipa, Macau.

Tai Lei Loi Kei Cafe (Near The Venetian) – http://g.co/maps/btdc4
    Rua Direita Carlos Eugenio, Taipa
    氹仔巴波沙前地18號

Basically, the pork chop burger has no lettuce, pickles, tomato, cheese but just a piece of pork chop and bread. Technically, the bread is different from other pork chop buns I have seen and had. It is slightly crispier and the texture was perfect.

In conclusion, my expectation was higher. Perhaps, it is over-rated by the folks in the cyber world and the price is slightly at the high side for the location and serving. But it is worth tasting it at least for once.

  • Draught Beers Buy 1 Free 1 @ Friendscino in Damasara Perdana

The range of Draught Beers can be very limited in Malaysia, but happily there are more choices at the bar in recent years.

To all my drunken mates and blog followers, I finally found the best Happy Hour deal for Hoegaarden, Stella, Erdinger Dunkel, Franziskaner, Carlberg Extra Cold and Connor’s Stout in Klang Valley.

The deal: Buy 1 Free 1 (before 7pm) and Free ½ (before 10pm) @ Friendscino Restaurant & Bar in Damasara Perdana.

I have no idea when the promotions will be end and I have never been there, but I found the similar flyers in my postal box [refer to the poster below]. Most likely, I will check out the environment to have a couple of pints and keep you all posted soon. I hope this place is not too dodgy.

  • George’s Paragon Seafood Restaurant at Eagle Street Pier, Brisbane

During my trip to Brisbane this year, I found this George’s Paragon Seafood Restaurant in Gold Coast and Brisbane city @ Eagle Street Pier. Since Gold Coast is full of appetizing foods, I never had the chance to taste it. But thankfully before I leave to Brisbane’s Airport, I had my half price lunch @ George’s Paragon Seafood Restaurant at Eagle Street Pier, Brisbane.

A little overview to begin, the restaurant feature with a vibrant Greek theme, seat up to 200 guests and offers a wide variety of dishes including the freshest of seafood, traditional Mediterranean, plus steak, chicken and pasta. For my lunch, I ordered a dozen of oysters and a serve of marinara pasta with a total bill around $30. You got to believe me that the oysters are so fresh and the marinara is so delicious!

I am not sure when the promo – “yes sir! Lunch half price” menu will be concluded but it is available and serving every day still. If you happen to be in Brisban or Gold Coast (or planning to go), I highly recommend you to plan a lunch at George’s Paragon Seafood Restaurant. I am sure you won’t regret but you will miss it, for sure.
