We first saw the Golf R during last year's Frankfurt Motor Show when the automaker unveiled her to the public.

Recently, Volkswagen released some new photos of the car shot during the international driving presentation in Ellmau, Austria. As recap, VW Golf R comes with a 270HP 2.0-liter turbo engine and all-wheel drive and is the most powerful and fastest series production Golf ever made.

The hottest Golf takes 5.7 seconds from 0-100km/h when equipped with a manual gearbox, and 5.5 seconds with VW's DSG dual clutch transmission. In both cases top speed is limited to 250km/h.
