TMNET and the Contact Center Staff Goes Nuts again...

I have something to share regarding my experience dealing with TMnet Contact Center Staff which supposedly graduate from SPM only?

Evening of Yesterday, my internet connection getting the Public IP: 58.27.105.138 or 58.27.105.142. But my router shows my DHCP assigned-IP which in the range of 218.111.198.XXX.

When i try to lookup my Public IP via website (e.g. [whatismyip.com] or [ip.iptelnow.com] or [checkip.dyndns.com]) It shows 58.27.105.138 or 58.27.105.142 randomly which supposedly showing my actual Public IP: 218.111.198.XXX.

Anyway, the IPs 58.27.105.138 or 58.27.105.142 are belongs to TMNET.

Due to the routing table of TMnet, I believe it causes this proxy-effect of my internet connection. Further, I have checked with my friends that staying surrounding. We all having the same Public IP when we lookup from the website (Randomly of 58.27.105.138 or 58.27.105.142).

Hence, i am kind enough to pick up the phone and dial 100. Explaining to the "Call Centre Agent" the scenario. The lady do not understand what i am saying. She ask me to restart the Modem and re-connecting again. Then telling me, their system show my IP address is 218.111.198.XXX which is correct. And repeating telling me that your IP is dynamic and NOT STATIC IP so it will be randomly changed over the time... Duhh...

So, I try to explain to her again. I know but when I do a lookup via website it shows 58.27.105.138 or 58.27.105.142 which is incorrect. It seems like a Proxy-effect that going thru a gateway. The whole Subang Jaya is having a same Public IP which is impossible. This affect my VPN not working, Statistics Logger not working, and my RealVNC that running on Dynamic IP Updater also not working...

I explain that I hope that you can file this report and highlight to your engineer to get it resolve. It something goes wrong at your gateway router and routing tables. Then, she put me on hold for 20 mins on the phone... In return by telling me, we do not support your VPN or whatever application that running. For more technical issue, you can send email to the helpdesk email address. And saying Bye Straight Away!

Then, i stopped her by telling her, is this how you serve your customer? I filing a technical issue, you telling me Bye? This is a issue happening to your Internet Network and the whole Subang Jaya having 1 Public IP address... She reply by saying WE DO NOT SUPPORT YOUR VPN OR WHATEVER APPLICATION. At last, I gave up on this idiot but asking her name because i told her i want to file a complaint regarding this. Anyway, her name is SARAH. So remember her name, a terrible customer service agent.

TMNET, please hire a better knowledged technical support agent! Thank you!

Anyway, now everything is working fine with correct Public IP address resolved.
